Crews completed testing the first 35 miles of steel line that runs from Lincoln, Missouri and have been purging the distribution lines this week.Technians will finish purging pipes next week, but in the mean time have begun converting customers in the areas that have been completed.

Crews completed the bore at the Niangua bridge on Thursday afternoon.

After several weeks of working at the bridge, the crew will be packing up their equipment and moving to the next lake bore.



Employees at the Lake of the Ozark office participated in a Fire Extinguisher Training at the Sunrise Beach Fire Station on Wednesday morning.The staff was trained on the various types of fires and the type of extinguisher that should be used to put each type out. After a presentation, employees were then able to gain some hands on experience by putting out a fire themselves.

With any major project comes clean up.Summit Natural Gas is dedicated to returning each location to the state it was in when we first arrived on site. In order to do this we  have separate crews dedicated to the installation of the pipeline and to the clean up of construction.The clean up process begins once construction is complete on a section. The SNG Lake of the Ozarks office hosted a battery giveaway this past Friday in conjunction with Ellis Batteries and 93.5 Rocks. With the recent time change it is highly encouraged that you replace the batteries in your detectors and test them to make sure that they are working properly.We had several locals stop by for cookies, coffee and to sign up to win one of ten CO2 detectors.Several residents came by to see if their home was near our service line.
